That Career Coach

Case Study:

WEBSITE COPY - VIP DAY

She thought she needed to sound “more professional”

We all struggle with the balance of professional and approachable, right?

Especially coming from a corporate world.

But when you’re running your own business, people want to hear from YOU! They want the same person on the website to be the one who shows up on the call.

Kendall specifically came to be because she was looking for someone who could help her elevate my language. She said, “I am revamping my website to build more credibility with my target audience, appeal to executives who are hiring coaches and speakers, and looking to convert more clients.”

Now, here’s where I trusted my intuition instead of listening to her.

Kendall thought she wanted to be “more professional” but when I went to her Instagram (which is one of her big lead sources), I found her natural voice was SO different from what she was telling me she wanted.

Let’s just say, I took a huge swing (and was fully prepared to rewrite it if needed), but…

“I laugh because I told Becca I wanted to sound more professional, and while my website does have a professional tone, after reviewing my social media she came back with a copy that she recommended sounded more like my online presence.  She was absolutely right! Staying true to my authentic communication style has worked wonders on my website and funnel.”

After the site went live:

  • She started booking more sales calls

  • Multiple people specifically mentioned the website as the reason they reached out

  • She booked two speaking gigs directly from the new speaker page

“I am definitely booking more sales calls and I have had multiple people say that they reached out because of my website post go live (I booked 2 speaking gigs from our new speaker page).  It's SO GOOD. She was able to take what I had in my brain, polish it, summarize it, and make it clear and attractive to my target clients. I have already referred people to Becca! If you are interested in having copy that sounds like you (but even better) and resonates with your target client, Becca is a magician who can make it happen.”

When your website finally feels like you (but also organized for UX, strategic, and compelling) your audience can feel it too.
